Any truth to that? 'Cause, we both know that DotA may or may not follow and kill SC2. I also hear the heroes are gonna be like Warcraft heroes.

I got my hands on a copy of the editor and all I have to say is...

Holy shit.

However, the Battle.net 2.0 is terrible enough to warrant not buying the game. Which is a pity, because the vast majority of Starcraft fans are going to be extremely pissed over something the SC2 team had no control over.

E: Also, SC2 doesn't have chat channels Adria. The channel name thing won't work

True, the battlenet 2.0 sucks pretty hard.

But the second phase of beta is coming out, not to mention that there could be mods etc.

And if my map gets popular.. =)

Well after hearing something like that Azrooh, I'd assume that the Blizzard team supervising the creation of battle.net 2.0 will try and make it work better, after all how will clans work without chat channels?

Well, there's a reason they're doing it this way.
It gets them more money! Blizzard is already trying to make it better, announcing heavily restricted private chat channels 'a few months after release', and cross-region playing 'for people that really want it' (see: costs extra).
And I wouldn't buy it for the campaign myself, I'm not a big fan of Blizzard's RTS style and I've never been a big starcraft fan.
